They are comfortable to walk around outside in the snow, and even indoors for a day of shopping. Warm, without stifling. Great price, and super cute! Might have to buy another pair in a different color!

Had to send them back because they were too tight cross the top of my foot. Did not get the next size because it was not available. There were no other boots like these, that were available to buy. So disappointed that one day they were available online, and the next all were gone! What's up with that?!

I wear an 8 1/-2 or 9 in almost every kind of shoe. I had these in a 9 and they weren't too small exactly, my foot fit with enough room for my toes, but the back rubbed my upper heels raw to the point of bleeding. They were extremely painful. I had a hard time finding another pair in the color I wanted (which I love-brown/burgandy plaid with a turquoise stripe), so I jumped on a size 10 pair on sale! They are big, but comfortable. I would defintely recommend ordering a full size larger.

I bought these boots for the wet Oregon weather. I can NOT review anything to do with snow or ice. I already have tall, basic, uninsulated Wellies and they area bit of a pain to put on everyday. I wanted "muck" boots like I grew up with back east in the horse barns. These fit the bill. Comfortable. Insulated. Waterproof. Cute. Easy to wear with jeans. Warm. Perfect for everyday rain shoes in the winter in the Pacific Northwest. Wouldn't use them in anything deep, but I have the Wellies for that.

Loved the boots immediately. I did go a half size larger after reading other reviews. It was a good choice and the fit was perfect. The boots don't have a bulky look and are very stylish.

  • “Should people order a half-size up to allow for thicker socks?”
Asked by Anonymous from New York, NY on 10/30/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • As these Sorel Tivoli boots run true to size, if you'd normally need a half size up with thicker socks in most of your shoes or boots, I'd recommend also ordering a half size up in these boots.

    • Yes 1/2 size is the way to go with those boots. I just got them for myself and got whole size bigger and they are little too big with extra thick sock. So I put extra sole in them, ok for me.

    • I would...particularly if your feet are a bit wide. Also, because these have a rubber bottom, they won't "give" at all. I ordered a full size up and am happy with the fit.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
