5.0 out of 5 stars. great all around wet weather boot...

I really have enjoyed wearing these boots, especially in the snow that the portland metro area received in february. I would consider these a cross between a rain boot and snow boot. They have an outer rubber material that is waterproof and the inside had a heavy felt liner(not removable) that is warm and quite comfortable when worn with a wool type sock. Speaking of socks, it is best to wear a tall sock with these because one day I wore a pair of short ankle socks and the felt really irritated my bare skin.
I have an outside job which I do a ton of walking and have wore these all day with no problems. Also have taken them up to Mt. Hood in the snow and again my feet stayed dry.. They are low profile, unlike some of the sorrell snowboots..I like that I can wear jeans and actually put the pant leg cuffs over the top on the boots..try doing that with snowboots. Seems to be well made with decent traction on the soles of the boot..sized correctly by the way.. I wear an 11.5 and thats what I bought..no problems with wearing a heavy sock.

Insulated for winter but not too hot for rainy April. Massive toe box for thick socks, this boot fit a bit on the big size. Completely waterproof. I am satisfied.

The 2nd time I wore these boots I had two grommets fall out. Other than that, they're fairly comfortable and keep the snow/cold out.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
