Excellent winter boots I gave them the first run the day after a freezing winter storm. I tucked my pants under them to avoid soaking them in deep snow. The boots looked sharp and stylish. The felt warm and confortable. the next day we experienced black ice and the sole were very good in gripping the floor. I did not experience any slipping!! I live in Boston. Probably the coldest city in America.

I saw someone wearing these boots and I followed them around until I could read the Sorel label on the back. Up front... these are not cold weather boots so don't think you are going to use these to hike the Grand Tetons. At least in the winter. They are great urban rainy / slushy day boots. And the East has had it's fair share of them this year.
The tread pattern makes them extremely sure footed.

I have owned a pair of these boots in grey suede for three years and they have become my favorites. I have worn them almost daily and had no complaints. They are starting to show their age now, and I was desperate to find replacements.
They have been TRULY waterproof, and kept my feet as warm as the much heavier rubber Sorel's in freezing Minnesota winters as long as I wear wool socks. However, the ones sold here are NOT the same inside as the suede version as they have canvas inners as opposed to a neoprene lining. They are not quite as warm, and it's doubtful they are more than water resistant. At less than half the cost of the suede option that's not a surprise, and the bonus is at these prices I was able to get TWO pair for less than one pair of the suede.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with these canvas boots, and would have rated them five stars had it been made clear the insides were not neoprene.

I wear a size 15 so finding comfortable shoes my size is daunting. I bought these and a pair of Chaco's and these, just like the Chaco shoes are amazingly comfortable. By the end of day I do not hurt unlike other shoes I own. The price was too good to be true. I have no idea why they are being closed out because for me they were a wonderful and wise investment and I highly recommend them.
