It does not slip or slide even on wet surfaces. Great shoe for kayaking and paddleboarding. It is also an awesome looking shoe. True to size. A good first impressionVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ralph N. from Southern Maryland on Saturday, February 14, 2015It's February and everything is frozen outside so I can't give more than just a first impression of these shoes. The build quality appears to be excellent and the shoes are super light. The foam insole provides good arch support. I like the grippy soles and the rubber mesh overlay which should really help with abrasion resistance of the upper. I see no way the nylon mesh upper could allow sand to intrude which is a huge plus. On the downside as with my last pair of top-siders I see no heel cutout and will require wearing Lycra socks to avoid the inevitable heel abrasion and subsequent band-aid. The low sides appear to have solved the problem with ankle bone abrasion. I like the unique lace system which allows for fast adjustment. Upon first putting them on it was obvious that the right shoe was slightly smaller than the left but still fit ok. As usual a great price from Sierra is icing on the cake. Come on summertime!
