A little long, but very comfy and the green color is adorable. I've gotten many compliments.

I've worn Sperry Top-Siders for over thirty years and have always taken a size 6M, getting a perfect fit every time. This time, however, the 6M fit like a 6-1/2M--too long and loose in the ankle/heel area. Since 5-1/2M was not available and the shoes could be made to stay on my feet by tightening the shoe laces, I decided to keep them. Otherwise, I like the shoes and would have given them five stars if the sizing had been consistent with past experience.

I really think these shoes are adorable but the back plastic part may be hard to break in. The shoe size I ordered is a 9 and a half and ran true to size. I am planning on wearing them without socks so I will see if they break in or if I have to ditch them.

Cannot go wrong with a pair of Sperry's! Super cute and comfortable--if you have a wide toe box these are not for you. The Bahama run a little narrow in the toe box than other Sperry's. The wool plaid is a great touch for the Fall months. Can be worn with or without socks. I did notice you may need a breaking-in period--Due to the patent leather around the heel of the shoe. Great price, great service from STP! A great staple to any wardrobe at any age! Sperry's are timeless!

Wife loves them just can't wear then for long walks because they are a little narrow in the toe box.

About Sperry

After a slippery boat deck nearly sent him overboard, lifelong sailor and inventor Paul Sperry created the first pair of Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes in 1935. Determined to find a solution for better traction, Paul carved small grooves into the bottom of his rubber-soled shoes, called “siping.” His idea for the prototype was actually modeled after his dog’s paws, which had evolved to navigate slick, wet terrain. Today, Sperry boots and shoes combine siped rubber soles for outstanding traction with advanced technical fabrics to keep out the watery elements. Over the years, Sperry boat shoes have even become the official footwear of the U.S. Sailing Team, the Shimano Fishing Tour and the U.S. Naval Academy.
