Because we have white carpets we wanted a wine glass when entertaining that is beautiful shaped & thin lipped but would not tip or snap easily. Several parties after using these I can report that everyone loves the way these feel in their hand and no one missed the stem. Nothing spilled, no stems snapped, great for entertaining and a beautiful shape...a steal at STP prices. Don't hesitate if you are considering these.

Stemless wine glasses may seem somewhat 'avant garde', but they have a practical side, too: - not so easy to tip over - fit in the hand better - easier to get a good 'swirl' - these have a great thin rim, so dribbles are less likely

Always wanted the perfect pinot noir/cabernet/zinfandel/reds in general wine glass for every day use. Couldn't use delicate stemmed glasses; had to use white wine glasses. Then these came along! The SHAPE is perfect for both nose and taste. Easy to wash either by hand or in dishwasher.

In comparison to the more common Reidel glasses, these are smaller in size and the glass is thicker. Still nice, but was expecting something more. Another person commented that they are too thin for everyday, but I disagree. These will definitely be everyday for us. The Reidel glasses are much thinner and more delicate than this and I have used those as everyday stemware.
