Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rocket from Honolulu, HI on Saturday, November 17, 2012These were lovely boots, but the fit was awful. I wear an 8 or 8.5 medium width shoe/boot. The length of these boots (an 8.5) was okay, maybe a little short actually, especially with regular socks, but the heel cup was HUGE. My heel sloshed around, up, down, side to side, as if in a bowl. I don't see how having a wider foot would have made this fit because the toe box is narrow as is the entire foot bed - except the heel! The leather on these boots was butter soft on the shaft and the calf diameter was okay on my slender, but athletic legs. I liked the tone-on-tone ash black stamped embellishment and I liked the height of the shaft which is high, but still well below the knee (I'm 5 feet 8 inches). I was very disappointed, but since there was no way I could wear these boots, they went back to STP the same day they arrived.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Happy Hound Hiker from SLC, UT on Monday, October 15, 2012I really wanted to like this boot as it is a beautiful leather and design, classic, tasteful and timeless. However, the fit of two different sizes did not work for me so I needed to return them. Unlike other western boots, I found the fit of the vamp too loose, even in the proper size.
- Cons: Sloppy Fit Around Foot
- Pros: Good quality boot, lovely leather, Nice design
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mimiane from Ohio on Wednesday, October 10, 2012I wear a 7 1/2 and bought that size. The width is a little tight. These are soft, stylish boots to wear with jeans and skirts. Lucchese boots are the best!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mamamu from Ohio on Saturday, October 6, 2012These cowboy boots were much more elegant looking than I'd expected. The leather shafts were also much softer and thinner leather than other boots I own (e.g. Frye). This makes them dress up a bit more nicely--if boots for dress up is your thing. I bought these for style, so this is great for me, but I'm not sure how they'd hold up if you actually wore them in a barn. Then again, they're pretty well made, so I may be underestimating them (having very little barn experience myself).
- Best Uses: Casual, Dressy
- Pros: Classic, Soft leather
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Lucchese girl from Buffalo NY on Tuesday, September 25, 2012I love Lucchese boots! Never thought I could wear hard shoes/boots but I am a big fan of the fit and comfort of Lucchese. I bought both colors!! The fit is true to size. I wear an 8 to 8.5 in all shoes but chose 8.5 so I can wear soxs. GREAT Boot!
- Cons: none
- Pros: Comfortable toe box, Excellent craftmanship, Fit is true to size
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bootlover from Long Island, NY on Saturday, September 22, 2012I am very disappointed, as soon as opened the box out poured a very strong petroleum like odor that permeated the house. The leather on the boots were of poor quality could pass for plastic. The Spirit line of Lucchese must be a cheaper low quality line made in China and they must be using toxic glues. Shocking for Lucchese. Returned them immediately!
- Cons: Cheap Leather Quality, Chemical smell, Poor quality, Very narrow
Verified Buyer Reviewed by reebee from CA on Tuesday, September 11, 2012I ordered these and they came clearly used by someone else. they were folded in half and the left boot had wrinkle marks onthe top of the toe, clearly tried on. They did not have the sleeve inside to keep them upright, just thrown in the box. Customer service did nothing, I wanted to exchange them, but there are none left in my size
