I really love this jacket and get complements all the time on the color (Hurricane). I am 5'8", medium build. I ordered a size 10; It fits very well. The only complaint I have is the built-in half glove (no idea what they are really called). I am not wearing gloves most of the time I wear this jacke... Read More

I bought this jacket for skiing. Wore it with a down vest underneath thinking even in the teens it would be okay. I run cold but this really is just a shell. I was very cold even with baselayers and the rest. Yes, I'm a Floridian skiing but I've been skiing in worse conditions. I still wouldn't recommend it for those that run cold. Maybe it would be okay for a day in the 30s with that combo. Awesome construction. VERY nice quality. LOVE the thumb holes which keep the sleeve under the glove gauntlets. I'm 5'10", 130lbs and the cut is very flattering. The arms are a bit constrictive because of the slim cut but I didn't have issues with it even skiing. Don't expect to get even a thin down jacket under it. As another reviewer mentioned the magnetic closures will be annoying if you try to keep the jacket open. I will use this jacket for a shell when hiking in cooler weather.

This jacket is really beautiful, but unfortunately not made for my body. I am 5'3" and 130lbs, usually wear a 6/8. This jacket is for someone taller and thinner. Great pockets, material ,design, just not for me.

I was disappointed with Spyder, I expected some serious warmth and I was left out in the cold. I tried my jacket in a day with 30's temps and was way too cold.

Well I cannot say enough about this jacket, I will start with the only con, it does run small. I believe it was probably designed that way to me more form fitting. I can still fit two thermals and a sport tank under it and still move very comfortably.
The Pros I am a cross country skier. This jacket is wonderful and stylish, I have taken it out about 15 times in weather from 19 degrees to 34 degrees. I guarantee your legs and fingers will be the only things that get cold. The side vents are wonderful for the warmer days. All the pockets are a plus.. Comfortable, breathable, and it does not restrict your movement at all. LOVE LOVE

Size 4 would be perfect, ordered one size larger - but the sleeves are really long and the magnetic closures work even if you want to leave the coat open. Also, I don't understand why the zipper only works one way. I prefer zippers I can open from the bottom if I want.

I would recommend it to a friend who was unusually long and slim.

About Spyder

Thanks to its innovative approach to design, the Spyder ski wear brand has become one of the most well-known snowsport apparel companies in the world. Spyder jackets, ski pants, base layers and accessories provide outstanding weather protection in harsh alpine conditions and frequently include built-in extras like zip-out powder skirts, strategic venting, integrated electronic-compatible features and much more. The company name actually originates from its first pair of race pants, which included striped yellow pads on the exterior. This design led racers to refer to them as Spyder pants, and the name stuck. Since that time, Spyder jackets, pants and accessories have become increasingly more advanced and stylish. Suit up, have a blast and look great doing it with high-performance ski wear from Spyder.
