the jacket is probably the warmest one I have owned, looks nice too. Very disappointed in the hood. If I had not needed a jacket at the time I would have sent it back because of the lack of a real hood.

Very high quality, as expected. The sleeves were too long (which rarely seems to happen for me), so I had to return it. Also, I wish there had been a more substantial hood. The hidden, tuck-away hood on this coat is very thin and not terribly useful. Otherwise, the cut and fit of the jacket is stylish and high-performance.

Awesome. Super warm. Designed to fit like a glove. Worth the investment, will wear this for years to come. Design / performance features very ergonomic.

This jacket looks fabulous. I prefer a fitted cut (instead of the super bulky ski jackets) and this is great. Stylish, with all the Spyder technology that keeps you warm and performs so well. It does run a size small, as all spyder gear does.

In general, top-quality materials are put together with great attention to detail inside and out. The fur collar feels pretty fake, which was surprising considering Spyder's overall quality and reputation. It's easily removable, leaving you with a sleek look, almost like a motorcycle jacket in the black. I prefer down jackets because, in my experience at least, they regulate temperature and keep you warm but also prevent you from roasting unnecessarily in your own body heat. This jacket accomplishes that with minimal bulk/puffiness. The black has a gorgeous satiny sheen to it. I don't use hoods much so it doesn't bother me that the zip-away hood is a very thin single layer (and is completely removable). The black has a black hood, but if you get the jacket in white, the hood is also black (can't see it when it's zipped away). Nice pockets inside and out, soft fleece lining at the wrists, even the fabric lining the inside is luxurious and beautiful. I'm 5'6", about 135 lb with broad shoulders, and the size 6 fits snugly with a thin sweater underneath. This is a piece I'm comfortable wearing around in the city because of the great styling but am also confident will hold up to more serious snowsports. I'm looking forward to using it for years to come and am very happy with my investment.

I know spyder gear tends to run small but this was WAY TOO SMALL... I had to go up 3 sizes.
