Spyder Explosive Ski Jacket - Insulated (For Women)

I loved the color (between red and pink) - my family could find my anytime on the mountain. There are lots of convenient pockets and think the jacket is sylish. I did order the size up as recommended and I was glad as it fits perfectly (maybe a bit snug around the chest but still comfortable). It is bit longer than I expected so if you are looking for a shorter waist jacket, ths is not the one) - I am very happy with it.

I chose this jacket initially for the style. I just LOVE the way it looks. Really cool. I got the orchid and it REALLY stands out. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs. and I usually wear an 8-10. I ordered a 12. I had room to layer and it fit perfectly. So order 1-2 sizes larger than you normally wear. It does run small. The first I've owned of anything Spyder and I LOVE it. Well made, high quality. Just got back from ski weekend in mtns. of NC. It was 18 degrees and windy and snowing like a blizzard. I stayed very warm and dry in my jacket and it blocked the wind. Plus, bonus, I looked good. However, it doesn't really have a hood. It is thin and tucks away in the collar. It will keep the snow off of your head and helps with the wind but that's about it. So if you like a jacket with a "real" hood, its not for you. Also, the waistband snaps were kind of weird. They seemed to snap funny. But they stayed snapped. So for me, it is true love, love, love. I can't wait to wear it again on the slopes and for many years to come.

The jacket is attractive but the sizing is way off. I purchased both 6 and 8 (was told to get a larger size based on reviews). I am usually a size 6 (5' 4"). Both of the jackets were too big and after trying them on several times, the 8 was slightly smaller than the 6 (in fact, I think they are both 8's). I was short of time before my ski trip and kept the 8 and returned the 6. After adding layers, it feels a bit better but not as trim fitting as I had hoped. Sizing may be defective.

Sleek, sporty, styish jacket. Several pockets including one on the sleeve just great for a cell phone or keys. Spyder is the best. Can't wait to wear it on the slopes! Order one size bigger than you regularly wear - runs small.

Hi this jacket is stylish but it is way too small. My size is 6 or 8 and I ordered a size 10 of this jacket. But it is tight and I have to retuen it.

I got this jacket to go skiing in the Alps in Switzerland. I hadn't been skiing anywhere in years and figured I'd be spending some time on the ground. As such, I wanted to be warm and dry. Not only was I warm, dry and comfortable, I looked good too. Based on other reviews I ordered a size larger than I would have. Good thing. I got the 10/L and it was a close fit. I wore 2-3 layers underneath and had no problems. This jacket has great features and was everything I needed.

Love the design of the jacket and the features with tons of pockets. It's warm without being bulky. It is a little tight under the armpits, however when you unzip the underarm vents it's perfect. I followed the advisement of ordering 1 size larger and it was right. My usual size would NEVER have fit. Have received many flattering comments about the jacket too.
