Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Wilkanoid from Metro NYC Area on Sunday, December 8, 2013This jacket is cut very small overall, but especially across the shoulders. I am a true size 4 and only very occasionally need to size up. I purchased a size 8, and probably could have comfortably worn a 10 if I wanted more than a very thin layer or two under this jacket.
Reviewed by Sara from Michigan on Wednesday, August 28, 2013I will first start out that I am biased towards anything Spyder. I tried this jacket on in a local ski shop and loved it, but couldn't justify the $300. Then I decided to just see if STP had it, and to my suprise, they did! Priced at 30% off retail. Add in my extra 35% off coupon and I got the coat for less than half off retail. That's a great find for a Spyder coat. I love how soft the materials are, especially the kind of sueded feeling of the exterior of the jacket. It's not the "swishy" material of other ski coats.
Since it's summer, I can't comment on the functionality in cold weather. It seems to be a bit on the lighter side for a winter parka, but that's ok with me.
I am 5'7", 135lbs and purchased the 8. I typically have a hard time finding things that fit my long arms but this jacket was no problem. I do agree that the size probably runs a little smaller than what you would expect. So order a size up, especially if you plan on layering. I was fortunate that I tried mine on in store so I knew what size to buy.
