Pros:
Lightweight, Sharp
Cons:
Friends borrow it
Best Uses:
Camp food preparation
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
great camping knife for food preparation and fish/game dressing. Fits medium to large hands well and has a secure grip even when covered with slimy gore. I had a camping buddy "borrow" my first one permanently, with my permission, and I missed it so much I had to order another one.

This is a neat Spyderco knife designed by Jens Anso. I like it for the VG10 blade which came razor sharp from the factory. The blade itself has a unique shape to it with enough belly for my likes and not too sharp a point. I wouldn't consider this a self defense blade, but it would serve the purpose of an EDC knife. The form factor is really compact despite the sizable blade and the way the blade folds into the handle leaves little blade spine showing that could hang up in your pocket on withdrawal. In my opinion, the knife is not a "hard use" knife and is not as sturdy as a Gayle Bradley, but should stand up to most everyday tasks. Get the knife for its uniqueness, collectiblity and blade size in a compact form factor. If you are going to beat/abuse the knife, you probably should look to another model.
