This product is typical Spyderco quality - SHARP, well made, and beautiful - but has one element that is atypical of any other Spyderco knife that I know of, and that is a partial wooden handle. Of all the Spyderco knives that I own ( several dozen ), I am unaware of any other with this material in the factory design. This design has been discontinued at the factory, so grab it now. Once they are gone, they are gone. Buying one on the aftermarket will prove to be both difficult and expensive.

For those who can not close the knife without crying how hard it is....buy a pink Delica from spyderco and try closing it. My 6 year old can close it and has been trained in knife safety. You boys need to learn how to handle small knives before you purchase a grown up knife like this one. Spydeco is number 1

    Lock works but boring

This is a great Spyderco for the collector, not so much for everyday use; it's too fancy to carry everyday, save it for special occasions. Like all Spydercos, the large hole in the blade allows you to open with a flick of the wrist. The lock is safe and solid; but common and rather boring (my first Spyderco was a Meerkat with the phantom lock so I expect a lot from this company).

Hard to return because of it's attractiveness, but I slightly separated my thumb from it's nail closing it with one hand. I'm pretty strong so I feel this will be a serious problem for other people who are used to a smooth one hand closing.

Very nice knife. It's larger than I originally thought (which is good). :) It would make a very nice EDC knife for blue jean days. A little too big for the office. The blade shape & ergonomics are just right for using as a chef's knife in the field. N690Cr steel is tough enough for any chore you'd want to put a 4" knife through. Overall, very nice.

This knife has it all, great looks, amazing cutting ability, and superior comfort. The unique blade shape offers an amazing amount of control and precision, without sacrificing strength, or sharpness. Bottom line, buy one(or two) you WILL love this knife!

Great looking knife. The best workmanship I ever saw in production knife in this price range (I own over 40 knives). I bought few Volpes and gifted couple to friends. One of them carries it everyday, second friend use it on dress-up occations

Bought it as a collectible, although I'll carry it occasionally. Attractive Olive inlay, typical Spyderco sharp blade, but the liner lock is very difficult to release. Condidering the cost, I'm tempted to return it just for the liner lock.
