Spyderco is more than just another knife brand. Spyderco has an image all its own, which conveys individuality, resourcefulness and a "don’t mess with me" attitude. The Spyderco image was cultivated by the first knives the company offered, which showed off the company’s patented SpyderEdge serrated blade that increases a knife’s effective cutting edge length. The classic Spyderco knife is a lockback knife with a trademarked Spyderco Round Hole for one-handed opening and an ultra-smooth opening mechanism. Most Spyderco lockback ... The knife is small, but has a very nice heft to it - it feels much more solid than the Spyderco Crow, which I also just purchased. For $20 and change, this was a great purchase (I got 45% off). The locking mechanism is very solid and locks with a satisfying click. Right now the opening mechanism is a little stiff but that is to be expected. The blade is shaving sharp and whilst the handle is small, there is enough to grab onto if you have fairly larger hands. The bird's eye or talon hole on the blade works well with one-handed opening, but does take a few practice tries. Overall, this is a fantastic knife for the price that seems like it could take quite a beating. I would not hesitate to purchase this knife again.

I haven't owned many pocket knives, but this one seemed like a good one. It feels solid and folds up into a nice compact size. I was looking for a one that was just big enough to fit in my hand with a partially serrated edge, and this one had exactly what I wanted.
