It’s a cool concept and great for traveling and backpacking due to the capabilities of the bottle to collapse down. As long as the lid is off when you are trying to expand or collapse the bottle, it is easy to do, even though the other reviews seemed to have difficulty with it. My biggest objection with the bottle was that bacteria builds in the plastic ridge at the top of the bottle and omits a pretty awful smell. For the price, it works great; however, next time I’m going to spend the extra $5 and get a stainless steel water bottle.

Doesnt expand very much and is VERY difficult to stretch and collapse. Takes effort as the plastic is very hard to manipulate. Neither my wife nor my kids could do it, and it too a lot of effort for me too. I am 6'3 230lbs.
