Closeouts. The Stanley Heatkeeper food jar keeps food or drinks hot for up to 6 hours. It is the perfect way to add the warmth of soup or a hot beverage to meals away from home.
Great take-along for sporting events, camping, hunting and school
Plusses: It's perfect for lunches. After 4-5 hours, the contents are still hot enough that they require a little cooling.
Neutrals: It does not hold much, so I use it for the kids' soup and still send a sandwich along.
Minusses: The attached spoon is junk. So shallow, that it is not useful. The kids just use a real spoon.

This thermos doesn't hold very much, and the handle takes up wasteful space. I didn't notice that it only holds 10 ozs., and it looks like it holds even less. I haven't used it yet so I don't know how long it keeps things hot, but it wouldn't even hold a decent sized bowl of soup. Not very useful. And the fold-up spoon bowl is so flat that you couldn't eat soup or any other liquid very easily.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
My kids love taking leftovers for lunch at school. Now they stay hot! two drawbacks - #1 The handle won't move. It is difficult to make the container fit in lunch boxes. #2 The spoon falls out.

This jar is better than any I've found to keep food hot. I like that you heat the food in the jar before sealing. I don't like the bulky built in handle on the lid. It doesn't fit in my lunch tote so I have an extra thing to carry.

I can't imagine how you would take this on a camping trip -- the top handle on the lid does not fold, making it very bulky. The lid does contain a neat folding spoon. I think this would be best used for taking soup to work for lunch, and then only if you carry it by hand, since it is too large to fit into a briefcase. But it keeps food warm well, and the folding spoon is cool.
