Stapf Boiled Wool Short Jacket (For Women)

The sleeves were really long but I just hemmed them. I wear the sweater to work and out to coffee with girlfriends. Keeps me warm and looks classy.

Thought this was beautiful, but I'm very petite and short waisted and it was too short on me. I'm returning it.

truly exquisite material ; fit was not perfect - ; I returned the jacket because it had an undeniably unpleasant & strong odor; couldn't put my finger on the odor - it had either been stored too long in a moldy or damp environment - OR - it reeked of cigar or cigarette smoke (I am not a smoker); I would have kept the jacket - but the odor was unacceptable and IT WAS HIGHLY PERCEPTIBLE.

Since it's high summer, I've had no chance to use this, but I can see it with jeans, skirts - just about anything. (I got the brown; I can see it with my brown crop pants and boots in the fall!) I'm wide-shouldered and short-waisted. Funny enough, I have a rather small ribcage to go with these traits, which makes this jacket fit me fine. I can see where a lot of people wouldn't be able to use it; the comments about "shoulders too wide" and "too short-waisted" made me give it a try. The sleeves are a little bit long on me, but my arms are short for my wide shoulders. I may turn them back a tad and add a little silver, "Tyrolean-style" button to the sleeve to suit the style. Or not.

I got this in case I needed a conservative, dressy piece for formal occasions; my wardrobe tends to be sporty, casual. What a fantastic surprise: not only will this work well for those formal occasions, but it fits my regular lifestyle, too. The cropped, fitted silhouette is flattering and hip. Looks fantastic over jeans. Really. I wasn't expecting such a versatile jacket, but what a great addition to my work and everyday wardrobe!

Will take this on a trip to Paris where I want to look chic and yet be comfortable. Such a flattering cut. And since it's Stapf, I'm hoping I won't stand out as American. Also I prefer brown to black, and brown is just harder to find.

I plan to wear it to a memorial service as it is tasteful being charcoal grey. Can be worn with a scarf or pearls or with a t-shirt with jeans and boots. cannot wait to wear it.

A great idea but not executed well.

I purchased 2. They are wardrobe staples but somewhat lighter weight than many boiled wool jackets. They are great for travel, since they can be worn with jeans or pants.

I love the material, increadibly soft yet structured. Color is darker then I expected, the grey is actually an off-black. Shoulders are a bit too wide for my frame, and sleeves a bit too long, but I'm a petite.
