These are the almost impossible to find Great wool winter pants I've been looking for twenty years. So far I've hiked, "chored", "snowshoed" in them. As warm as the insulated -40 overalls but I haven't gotten the layer of cold sweat in them, plus you can wear them back into town after without stoppi...

Comfortable, well cut and assembled cold weather pants. Very thick and heavy fabric, but drapes better than thick cords. At least one inch smaller around the waist - perhaps the measurement refers to the outside rather then inside?
Unfortunately we generally do not get restock in items. This is because of the buying process and where our products come from.|All items are labeled as one of the following ...||Closeouts||First quality items which are not included in the manufacturer's new product line, often due to a minor change in color or design. They are sold at very large discounts.||Overstock||Always first quality products, we buy these items when a manufacturer's inventory is too high and has to be drastically reduced.

Our information would indicate order your waist size unless you are looking for a loose fit.

Yes. Order one waist size up for a fit more typical of an American brand.

I found that the waist and seat were smaller then usual so it would be beneficial to order a size up for the waist. The length was true to size.

I would recommend wearing thermal long johns under these pants as you will need the extra warmth in cold weather. The long johns will also keep the itchy wool fabric off of your skin. I bought my pants one size larger in the waist to accomodate the extra thickness from the long johns. If you find the pants are still too big in the waist, add a set of suspenders.

By my calculation you should get a 40. I ordered a 52. Received pants marked 52. But when I measured them with a tape measure, they were a 44.
