Steinbock Down Parka - Knee Length (For Women)

I got this coat in European size 36 which continues to be translated as US size 6, but that was 20-some years ago; US sizes "grew" since then and now Eur 36 is US 4. Making it simple, my coat was listed as size 6 (36) and fits my 33.5" chest and 36" hip parameters. It's a warm and, seems to be, wind-resistant coat; at the same time it's not puffy but stylish. Its collar looks really nice and unique. The brown colour is quite dark and rich (which I like); the lining is in blue/brown tartan and looks equally pretty. The length is above the knees (and I'm not a tall person). The tag in the inner pocket lists that the coat consists of 80% down and 20% feathers. The coat has both a zipper and snaps. I find this coat to be very practical yet great looking, easy for getting in/out of a car, running errands, going for a stroll, etc. What do I think could have been done better? A sturdier zipper; I'm getting some "slow time" trying to start this one (but I prefer using snaps anyway). Longer hem as the lining (the pretty tartan) may be occasionally visible at the bottom of the coat. All in all, I really think this is a lovely coat and my husband thinks so too.

I LOVE this coat - it is beatiful and quite stylish for a down coat. It is so comfortable yet very very lightweight - I can roll it into a ball and shove it into a bag when traveling - and pop it right on and look like a million bucks. It's so lightweight was afraid it wouldn't be warm - but it is. Stops the wind/rain/snow beautifully. The collar is dreamy. And because of the vertical stitching it doesn't make you look like a blimp. Can dress up for business and down for walking the dog - LOVE IT!

This is a great coat. I was looking for a "spare" coat to take on vacation this winter, but knew I wouldn't have space in my suitcase to pack anything too bulky or heavy. This coat will be perfect for travel - it is SO light in weight and takes up very little room in a suitcase or bag, yet it is incredibly soft and warm. For a down coat, it is very attractive - flattering cut, nice color and not overly puffy. Can't wait to wear it!

I wear sweaters all winter, and this fit over my sweater without making me feel squished up. I am a size 10 and ordered a size 10. The only thing that would improve this coat would be if it were below knee length. I do a lot of walking around town, and this coat is great. I don't get overheated in it when I stop in at stores, and it doesn't make me feel like a marshmallow.

this coat is nice enough for a swanky affair yet it is as warm as an athletic type coat. It is light and stays out of your way!
