Steinbock Loden Wool-Cashmere Coat with Faux Fur Trim (For Women)

This coat is beautiful. I studied the other offerings a long time before deciding on this one and I made a good choice. I'm 5'9" and love the longer length of the sleeves and of the coat itself. The cut is not restrictive when striding through the cold. This coat achieves the difficult combination of decorative AND functional. Very happy to have a warm, elegant coat for finer nights out.

TOOK A GAMBLE ON THIS COAT BECAUSE I LIKED THE LOOK BUT MY SIZE WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND ORDERED THE 14 WHEN I USUALLY ORDER A 16. RECEIVED THIS COAT YESTERDAY. WOW!!!! I LOVE IT FITS PERFECT A LITTLE LONG BUT I LIKE IT THAT WAY. MATERIAL GORGIOUS. I WILL KEEP THIS COAT FOREVER. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I love the attention to detail, like the velvet lining the inside of the button plackets. It IS long, but as I'm tall that is a plus for me. I think I may stitch down the back pleat at about the waist to add a little more shape to the back - otherwise the pleat is open all the way from the shoulder down which is a little too unstructured for my taste - especially given the detailed front.

This coat is great; it is true to typical Austrian/German sizing. It runs generous expecting to go over a blazer or other heavy winter clothing. It is also ankle length to protect from the snow and Alpine weather. If you are wearing this over normal day wear, you may want to go a size smaller than normal.

I like having a hood on winter coats, so perfect for me and with the fur trim I can dress it up or go more casual. The shape is great for wearing sweaters/suit jackets underneath -- not too snug. The length, however, is too long and must be shortened or would drag on the ground. Very versatile.

This is a lovely coat--great workmanship and material. Steinbock always is a great deal at STP. But---the sleeves are short and the overall length is quite long. The problem is that to lengthen the sleeves is not trivial due to the cuff design. I took the coat to a tailor to evaluate, and unfortunately, I will need to return it since it is too much work to make the sleeves longer and keep the original style.

material is pretty, but the coat runs large!! i wear a 10/12 but the size 8 was a much better fit. it is long in length which i like since i'm 5'8. the coat just does not have any shape to it. it looks like a heavy robe. in the end, i sent it back for a refund. maybe if you have the $$ to get it tailor fitted it would be ok but i could not see spending this much & then it possibly still not be right. hope something else comes available from sierra.

beautiful coat. but the size 10 was too long for a 5' 2" women. Also the size 10 seemed bigger than expect. We are exchanging for a size 8.
