Steinbock Loden Wool Coat with Faux Fur Collar (For Women)

This is an extravagant purchase--I ordered 2 coats and hoped to return this one if the other, less expensive one, worked. The other worked--but I can't part with this beautifuly made, warm, elegantly casual coat.

I modeled this for a friend, her conclusion was the same as mine ,the boxy styling was not flattering, the drape of the fabric was poor (stiff),and the faux fur looks ratty. I sent it back.

This coat was a pleasant discovery. It looks and fits great. It was rather expensive, but won me over when I tried it on!

Bought this for my niece on the East Coast. Ordered a size larger to allow for layers and that was the right choice

Nice quality. Haven't worn it in a Chicago winter yet, but it looks like it will do fine.

I love this coat but I have made a mistake in indicating that the collar is removable. It is not. The coat is so superbly finished on the inside.... velvet hem and a lovely inside zipped pocket that is trimmed with the same lovely velvet. The coat is extremely resistant to wind and rain does not soak into the fabric. I am sorry about saying that the collar was removable. I thought it was but I had a closer look today and it is not. I have received so many compliments from people in the street when I wear this coat. It is classically styled and really well constructed and designed. It has been a winner for me. I am going to order the other colour as this one has been so comfortable and warm. The length is perfect and looks elegant. There is room to fit thick clothes under the coat. It is the perfect coat.

This coat lives up to the Steinbock label for excellence. The coat is flattering and beautifully made. The fabric is of the best quality and is warm without being heavy or bulky. The design is timeless and chic. I am thrilled by the sheer quality of this coat. The faux fur collar can be removed but it looks sophisticated and has a very nice feel to it. I couldn't be more satisfied. I am going to order the other colour as well. Meticulous tailoring. An investment!

This was a great buy. I love it. My coat was in perfect condition. It is a beautiful wool with a touch of sheen. It fits an hour glass figure well. It is broader at the shoulders and hips and more tapered at the waist. I wear an 8-10 US and it complements my shape. It is fitted so it is sleek and not bulky.

The coat felt awkwardly large and seemed dowdy rather than having chic looks or a refined fit. Is that collar really faux fur? It sure looked and felt like real fur--which I don't wear. Also, there were a few exposed stitches at the back that looked like part of it had been moth-eaten. Finally, this coat is made in Bosnia-Herzegovina, not Austria.
