High Quality German optics as Zeiss, Leica, Swarovski or Optholyth. Steiner is the same. If you are a hunter, hiker or just like to watch the nature buy on of these quality products

Great optics but shortness of focal length takes getting used to. It's perfect for bird/nature watching over longer distances and is user freindly.

Extremely high quality, rugged. Honestly, the only disappointment was that they give you one of those manuals that covers every bino they make. You have to waste your time trying to figure if you have or do not have the 'sport focus', for example. You shouldn't be given a manual like that for an item this expensive. When I complained to Steiner, they clearly didn't care. The most important thing is that the optics are extremely high quality. Good straps and case. Sierra had the best price I could find after scouring the market for 2 months, haha!

Binocular strap, attached covers for both objective and eyepiece lenses and sturdy case are nice features. Too big to hike very far with, but handy to have in the vehicle or around camp when you really want to bring the image in close. I have compact 8x binocs for the pack. Because of the high magnification factor, it's helpful to brace against something solid.

Excellent product for the price. Replaced Leupold gold rings for scouting applications and occasional bird watching at the Black Water Refuge. Weight and balance are good as are optics. Great clarity with no distortion or blurring at edges. Should be a good marine binocular as well.

I first used Steiner binoculars on a railcar derailment involving hazardous materials (sulfuric acid & ethanol alcohol). As a Captain of our local fire department and the incident commander of this incident, and a lot was at stake. The quality optics of the Steiner’s allowed me to stay at a safe distance and identify the products involved. I have always wanted a Steiner binocular for personal use but could never afford them. But now through the Sierra Trading Post I was able to purchase the Steiner Predator 12x50 that I have always wanted for a price that I could afford!
