These are by far the best glasses for the price!!! I did a comparison to all glasses in this price range, namely Nikon and Leupold and these came up on top. The auto focus function is awesome! I would recommend these to anyone who is looking in the $200-$400 price range!

For the last three years I have used my friends lieca binos for hunting becouse I could not afford my own quality optics.Took a chance with these and thay are very comp to the liecas,I love them I did alot of shoping and the clearity is unmatched by any binos in its class including the ever popular nikon monarchs. Once you focus them to your eyes you never have to focus them again, sweet binos

I did not want to go overboard with the pricing for my ocasional hunting trips. I had a 8x30 Steiner for a while and loved it but wanted to upgrade a bit for hunting. I ordered a few others to compare but this Steiner is really lightweight and if you are looking in this lower end price range a good deal. Do not confuse this with the high end Seiners. I like the eyepieces even better than the flat ones you get on way more expensive binos. I did end up ordering a harness and a case separate.

The primary use will be on an African safari. I noted the sports auto focus as BOTH a pro and a con. It's a definate pro if you plan to use them for viewing beyond about 40-50 yards. Its a con because to use them for closer viewing it's very cumbersome to adjust the focus closer than 40-50 yards. All that said they were absoultelty as represented, very comfortable and of sturdy construction. Recommendation would then be dependent on primary expected viewing purposes and ranges

I liked my first pair of Steiners so well, that when my first pair were stolen, I ordered another pair. I have been in the guide industry for over 20 years in Alaska. Steiners are a great quality mid range price binocular. Very durable, they can take a lot of abuse. I really like how each eye individually focuses. They are a nice size, and not to heavy. My customers all look at me and my equipment, to see what I wear, and use. I have to have quality equipment. My first pair of Steiners were 8x40, great for on the boat. This new pair are 10x40 still ok for on the boat. But the field of view is poor. Looking threw the eye peace, it is fuzzy around the edge, this shrinks the field of view. I would recommend Steiner binoculars to my customers and friends. But not this 10x40 predator model.

As the Steiner reputation promised, these bincos have terrific color accuracy and brightness, awesome images. "Everything in focus" system takes some getting used to--and don't expect to focus on anything within about 75 feet of you. Other than that I couldn't be happier.
