Can see the gnats on a hogs back from 700 yds...don't waste another $100 on a cheap set of optics. These are well worth the bit extra you will spend.

I use this Binocular for hunting and I can't ask for a better one. Once you have it set up, which is really easy, it provides razor sharp images all the time. The contrast enhancing lens coating works, especially in the woods. If I don't break it, I won't buy another Binocular.

The red spectrum is not overpowering. True colors for the most part. Once focused for distance (20 meters), focus is on for infinity. Only draw back is that you need to refocus each eye for close up viewing e.g. bird watching.

These are my first upgrade from compact pocket-sized binoculars. It was tough to spend four times as much, but I am hoping to get 4 times the life from these. The optical quality of these Steiners is a world better. They are large, but don't be scared away; they are surprisingly lightweight. I did not notice a huge "light gathering" effect in low light.
