Stephanie Matthews Basic Pea Coat - Wool (For Women)

Bought this coat for my 25 year old granddaughter. She loves it. Says she wears it everywhere. A little less bulky than some peacoats, and therefore, ever more versataile. Wears well in the Virginia winter.

This is a warm peacoat - but not for blizzard conditions. It's 20 degrees and windy today, and this coat was great. It is not as bulky as the Navy issued peacoat - thank goodness. As a result, it is pretty and slimming, and warm enough. Nice to wear for warmth with nice slacks and heels, or with jeans and boots.

This was a Christmas gift - Needless to say She was suprised and excited, the coat fit perfectly!

Fabric really not as nice as thought it would be. I did keep the pea coat and do wear it but it is very boxy and again, disappointing fabric. For [$] though it was certainly worth keeping and wearing.

I liked the jacket but the fit was off. The thread for the buttons was thin and flimsy. Looks like they will pop off.

Wanted a versitile coat. Great for casual and for work. Great look.

Not bulky or heavy and easy to carry around, but yet warm

I had a "real" peacoat back in the 70s. This one isn't nearly that heavy. It is a nice weight for wearing during weather where a regular coat is too warm, but where you still need a little extra layering. As far as layering goes, though, there's not a lot of room for it. I'm tall and broad-shouldered, and this jacket isn't really made for a tall person. I'm glad I bought it though, and would recommend it to others - shorter others. I've only worn it once so I don't have a lot of data to provide about its durability.

Although this peacoat uses a traditional style in appearance, it uses a much lighter wool and lining than the traditional peacoat. I think it will develop pills easily

I returned because with my chest proportions I looked very busty---like I was wearing body armor. Otherwise, stylish coat, good length for driving, wool blend so not scratchy.
