This is the most appealing, Authentic western Hat In My Collection...I wear it daily...When it is cold out side camping I put the hat over my face and breath warm air to avoid the pneumonia like lungs upon waking...It keeps the head warm, shades you from the sun and covers bed head hair and even works as A fan...It's even rewarding to tip your hat to A fine lady from time to time!!!I feel this is as good as A hat that can be found at STPs exceptional pricing...I bought FOUR along with most of the other Stetson and Resistol's at STP....Resistol hats are also great but order up 1/8"....[Both are from the same maker-HATCO]
I was in A VERY large western outlet in Austin Texas A couple of days ago and A comparable Stetson was $180.00 to $220.00.
You can't lose with A Stetson..
P.S. If you don,t have A hat rack just stab A hole in A tennis ball and push the ball onto A coat hook-Works great for hanging your hat and keeping it's shape!!!!
One last thing, the picture inside of the hats which was painted in 1925-26' by Lon Megargee has always been one of my favorite western paintings. It was with Stetson for years and is A desert scene of A cowboy watering his horse from his Stetson...The name of the painting is "The last drop from his Stetson"and is A fitting tribute to these hardy adventurers that settled the wild west and the bond they had with these magnificent critters...The 70's fine detailed commemoritive brass buckle of this scene was A little harder to find...stubones from *"fort tumbleweed"*....

At such an unbeatable price for a decent Stetson I had no qualms about immediately steaming and reshaping to my personal taste and fit. The extra size in the rim isn't always easy to find and is a big plus (4 1/4"). Now that the weather has cooled a bit, I wear it everywhere from working at my brother's ranch, to all dressed up for travelin' in style.
