    I purchased these shoes as black dress shoes. They are wonderful. The vents in the side do not make them look less classy (as long as you're wearing black socks with them) and they come practically broken in. If you are planning on standing for long periods of time I would suggest some orthotic inserts as they tend to not have a terrible amount of support, but this is easy with the removable footbed.

    This is my 4th pair of Stonefly shoes. I had tried on this brand when visiting Italy and they fit me like they were made for me. I could only afford them when I found them at Sierra Trading Post. They are the only slip on shoes I have ever found that do not slip on my narrow heel, yet are wide enough for my toes. They are a comfortable walking shoe, yet make a good looking casual dress shoe, also.

    I used these shoes for comfort with dress pants and a tie. I was complemented by another physician that is also "comfort driven" in his shoes. Have to wear my orthodics but even with these in the shoe, they were comfortable for my 10 hours on my feet.

    I really like these shoes. They have a different style, with the vents on the sides and they are very comfortable. I ordered a 44 first, they were too big and I wish that the 43 was just a little bit wider, but they will work. The slits in the side go all the way through the shoe, so make sure your socks match.
