Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by PeachesnHerb from California on Tuesday, June 17, 2014I wore it to Pt. Reyes National Seashore in the cool, windy breeze. Needed to wear a little hoodie over it when it became too cold, but for general walking and once you get moving about, it was very comfortable. For not-too coolish times. I wore a tank with a shelf bra underneath. Great for layering. Looks nice, stylish. Fabric is synthetic.
Reviewed by Tina from Left Coast on Sunday, June 8, 2014Love this top!! Smooth, substantial fabric with a nice drape. Fits true to size with a little shape but not tight at all. It's too nice to wear in the field, but it's a definite keeper for yoga and office. I love that it looks almost as dressy as a blouse, but won't need ironing.
The collar can be zipped up all the way to make it a turtleneck, but I'll wear it open as shown on the model because the zipper is uncomfortable against my neck when it's zipped.
Reviewed by Everyday Ann from Wisconsin on Monday, March 24, 2014I ordered the patterned shirt. I really wanted to like this shirt because it is so different, but it was a little too busy for my taste and ran a little to boxy. If it would have had princess seaming I maybe would have liked it a bit more, but it was boxy and busy and not for my taste. Back it went.
Reviewed by Birdwatcher from New Jersey on Tuesday, January 21, 2014I was the one who left the question in the Q&A section. I went ahead and ordered this - and then ordered a second. I wanted a long sleeved lightweight shirt that would slip on and off easily over other tops in order to handle cool mornings at elevations in the tropics. This fit the bill - it will roll up more tightly after use than a fleece. It is not as flimsy as some - the fabric is substantial. It will wick well, in fact it may be a little too cool for the coldest locations. As an earlier reviewer noted, the print is prettier than it appears, and it may be the one I end up taking.
I would have given it 5 stars except for the lack of a pocket. In general, outdoor use shirts really ought to have a pocket. Keys, cellphone, lip balm - modern, useful, outdoor clothes have a pocket for these.
Reviewed by Madlabs from Waunakee, WI on Friday, November 8, 2013I know I am going to love this top. Fabric is a better weave than most. Arms are long enough as well as the torso. I sized up to a Large as I didn't want it with a tight fit and it is great! I don't think it will snag easily, but time will tell. Ordered at the same time as some sno skin top in similar style and am returning both of them as this is just built better all around! Hubby even commented on how the print looks much better in person than on the website. Two thumbs up.
Question “I am considering this shirt for a tropical trip that will involve some jaunts into high mountain areas where it is cold in the morning. I am looking for a layer (not a base layer, I'll buy a looser size) that will be less bulky than fleece, stretchy, slim profile, and a weave that will slip easily on and off atop other clothes, unlike fleece and some weaves that are like velcro next to other clothes. Does this fit the bill?”
Answer This item does have some stretch and is layer friendly according to the overview. The polyester/spandex mix should make it easy to put on and remove.
