Sudini Summit Tall Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

I was surprised that a boot that came in a wide width (which I found fit my foot comfortably) could have such an impossibly narrow calf. The only person who they fit in the calf of those who tried these on at my office was the tall, thin ( yes, she's gorgeous, too) one who said boots are usually too wide in the calf for her.

I have slender ankles and feet - these boots looked terrific but didn't fit well at all. They were tight in the calves and too big in the ankle and foot - not a great combination! I was sad to have to send them back, as now I have to find another pair of black boots as my old ones wore out!

I'm not sure how to rate the size on these boots. The width was both too narrow and too wide. I ordered a wide and the toe was too narrow (it's soft leather and would stretch but I think it would make the boot look misshapen). There was way too much room in the heel, though - either the heel was too wide or the boots were a bit too long. If you need more room in the heel (? for some reason?), these are for you. They are nice looking boots. Also, the calf was narrow. I'd say I have an average size calf (I'm 5'3" and around 113) and the calf on this boot was just right - no extra room at all. This would probably not work for you if you need a larger calf on your boot.

I've been searching for nice waterproof tall dress boots for a while and these are everything I was looking for. The style is sleek without being trendy. The heel is high enough to be flattering, but not so high as to be painful. My only slightly negative comment is that the fit is on the narrow side. I had read this about Sudini boots, so I ordered the wide size and it fits perfectly.

The boots are average in looks; not the kind to be noticed in. Comfortable basic boot which runs super narrow.I wear regular B width and ordered W width; could not even zip them up. Their W width is close, but not the same as B width. The shaft is shorter length than indicated; does not reach up to knee. A person with narrow calves would love those boots. They're very comfy if you can get them on.
