    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This is the only reasonably-priced hiking shirt I could find available in small size. It is not my preferred color and it has a very strong, unpleaasant odor (which is somewhat diminished after a couple of washings). Otherwise, I am satisfied with the shirt.

    This shirt has is outdoory look, roomy, and very durable. I have owned mine for quite a while and now use it for around the house work and gardening. I love the back ventilation and the fact that gives me such good sun protection.

    Used this product on a week long camping/canoeing trip. The shirt held up well, but the light color (lt. blue) has been hard to clean upon my return. I wasn't thrilled about the chest pockets (they are open at the top, with a velcro closure in the middle). Would have preferred a flap on the pockets. All in all, a good value for the money.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I assumed that the "mildew-like" odor evident upon unpackaging had something to do with the impregnation, so I washed it; that did not help very much, so I plan to return the shirt. I also find the texture of the material very hard and crispy. A shirt from the same manufacturer that I purchased for my wife was entirely different. I have to give this shirt a miss, even though I like the concept and design.
