I was out in 9 degree weather skiing for few hours.
I had good base layers on and could feel the warmth being extracted through the liner in the wind and cold.
it was like radiator effect. the gortex was breathing to good and the lining wasn't holding enough heat in the cold.

i wanted somehting to use when its cold enough to need full jacket.
i have a cablea's guide 3 in one and i am not loosing anything when i wear this on the slopes.
excpt about 3lbs. i have an 2xx jacket. i am big man tall and it still reaches below my waste to keep me dry when sitting or falling.
and now my arms stay warm when its to warf for the full 3 in one and to cold for just the shell.
the keeps a good constant temapture and keeps me dry.
    love it.

ordered a medium, my usual size. i am 5'8'' with a 39-40" chest and weigh 145. although the sleeves, shoulders, and chest fit appropriately, the body is extremely bulky. returned the medium didn't feel a small would be big enough.

This jacket is surprisingly warm for its weight. It has all the features I was looking for:

    - Goretex waterproof, and breathable
    - wrist cuff
    - powder cuff
    - seam sealed zippers
    - storage
    - adjustable hood

The only con is that the styling is somewhat out of date, but for the features and pricing, that's easily over looked.
