  • Great pants but not bootcute

    I'm a size 4 with small hips and pants that are usually OK in the waist are too large in the hips. But these fit perfectly in that area. However, these pants are very long, and even though I almost always have to have pants hemmed (I'm 5'4 1/2") these will have to have about 6 inches of fabric cut off. Also, I would not call these boot cut, they are straight leg. But they are very, very comfortable, nicely tailored and a great bargain. I wish STP still had the matching blazer in my size. :(

    I thought that I was buying striped pants - but they don't actually have stripes; they have strangely dashed lines running down the fabric. That makes them more casual than what I had in mind.

    While these were lovely slacks ... would look great with a nice jacket and blouse ... they were incredibly short on me, and I am 5'7", so not really tall. I was disappointed and even checked to see if they could be dropped ... alas, no. I liked the whip-stitch detail and based on the fit, will check clothing by this designer.
