Suunto

I decided to purchase this heart rate monitor watch to help guide some of my New Year's resolutions. It's great for jogging/walking, weight training, cardio workouts, and any type of exercise where you need to monitor your vital signs and calories burned. It's simple and easy to use and includes a strap, which is compatible with most gym equipment.

Use it when I work out. It reads the same as my elipitcal machine, so I feel it is accurate.

I purchased this for my nephew who runs track for a University and is an athletic training student. He needed this to improve on his times as he gets ready for Spring track and he said this was exactly what he needed and the one he was looking at didn't have as many features. So good buy!

A very fashionable band and face. A great price. Lots of features. However, the crystal is made of plexiglass and scratches easily. Directions that accompany product are insufficient to aid you in understanding what's there and how to display, etc. Already I've had to manually reset and pair watch with monitor as it has, on several occasions failed to recognize monitor. On the plus side customer service by phone is excellent. At Sierra's discounted price, a nice purchase. However, if durability a question, go with better more scratch resistant face

During workouts and to track workout history

I thought a heart monitor watch would be difficult to set up and possibly less than comfortable to use, but since I've started running again, I want a reliable indicator of how hard I'm training. The Suunto t3c does what I need, and takes less effort than I expected.

It took me 5 min to figure it out. It is well designed accurate monitor. It is my daily watch too.

The X3 is a entry level HR watch with a strong brand name like Suunto it will last forever. The band on ther Suunto's i own have been an issue, but the X3 band has held up well. Great watch at an even better price.

Use on day hikes . Also to teach kids to use a compass.

This is a simple compass. Easy to use for orienteering, etc. It has a scale for the deviation of magnetic north from true north which is usefull for work with maps. It works in the southern hemisphere.
