    Pros:
    Comfortable Grip, Functional
    Cons:
    Useless Tools
    Best Uses:
    Camping, Home

    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Victorinox offers the most consistent quality of any brand of knives, and this alox Cadet is no exception. It's very slim and would fit comfortably in a pants pocket. The textured alox (aluminum oxide) handles provide a better grip than the standard Swiss Army Knives' smooth plastic. The alox looks great too, making this suitable for gift-giving. I would recommend this knife for basic outdoor use - hiking and simple camping. It would also be at home in an office or professional environment. My gripes: The alox models lack the tweezers and toothpicks. The tools on this are redundant - the can opener also opens bottles, so why a separate bottle opener?

This is one of the most useful pocket knives that can also be comfortably carried in a pair of dress pants that I have ever owned. I wish the nail file was a drilling awl like the one in the larger version, but even it is handy for untying belligerent knots.

Great price, and practical! The thing I like best about this knife is that it has features I like best in a knife, and doesn't have a lot of extra gadgets(that I rarely use anyway) that add bulky weight. It has a nice appearance and is reliable. I'm a big fan of Swiss army knives. I like a sturdy, lightweight sharp knife. The screwdriver/openers/file blades are handy. I'd recommmend it for a permanant fixture of any back pack, hiking vest or pants pocket. I'll probably get a few extras for family and friends.
