Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My Dad's had the identical version except without the whistle for 30 years and i ask him to use it weekly. Fianlly got my own for my AT hike trip. This is classic, and the whistle makes me feel safer. Only reason this is 4 star and not 5 is because in a perfect world, they would ditch the stupid nail filer- who needs that? and replace it with a can/bottle opener!!
