Keeps things cool in the summer, i.e. wrap your cooler in the blanket and the ice keeps longer and definitely keeps you warm in the winter.

Good blanket, heavy weight, nice muted color. NO MOTHBALL SMELL. It is narrower than I expected. This means that it is really the perfect size to wrap around you like a refugee blanket, but not so much to sleep under.

    • Cons: Odd size

This blanket is actually somewhat of an odd size, I thought. It's fairly long and a little narrow. It's the perfect size to wrap yourself, but totally not a good size to sleep under. You can only half-fold it one way (it's too narrow the other way) and then it's too short to adequately cover my feet (I'm 5'10").

The color is a nice, muted brown.

    The stitching is quite sturdy.

The wool is felted (?), and rather thicker than most wool blankets.

THE SMELL WAS FINE! NO mothball odor of ANY KIND WHATSOEVER! This was a very welcome surprise.

It doesn't block the wind, so you have to figure something out to stop the wind if you're sleeping outside in even mild breeze. I found this blanket to be curiously cold for this reason.

Nice blanket, super warm when it's not windy. Haven't tried getting it wet, but am looking forward to some fall rains to stress this one.
    • Best Uses: Spring/Fall, Winter
    • Cons: Zero wind resistance

    • Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Easy To Clean, Smells Fine

I ordered two of these from Sierra and one Italian wool blanket from CTD the same day. These came a day earlier. The Italian one stank like bad breath and had longer messier fibers that scratched a lot more than the nice matted fibers on the Swedish blanket which did NOT stink. These Swedish blankets are nice and thick and of the best value you can get. Though wool has a reputation of being super warm I find these only to be good to about 40/50 degrees. Any colder and you might need two...but you can wear them in warmer temperatures because these seem to regulate body heat really well and won't make you sweat. I'm glad I ordered two of these but disappointed I didn't order more.
