Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Coops from Flemington NJ on Friday, January 31, 2014High quality rucksack boot bag with plenty of room for the rest of your ski or snowboard gear.
Great pack for the money. More than ample day-ski cruiser; will probably also use it as an overnight travel bag.Reviewed by JW from Connecticut on Monday, December 9, 2013Plus:
Comfortable, plenty of room for boots and gear.
External pockets and tabs all over the place.
Loops for carrying skis or board.
The mesh helmet stowage unzips from the low rear end of the pack.
Fully adjustable shoulder, chest and waist straps.
Elastic drawstring and fully overlapping closure.
Three shoulder and waist pads with vented back.
Expands to about 24"h x 22' w x 10' d.
Durable zippers and material
Definitely larger and heavier than a conventional day pack, but I wanted room for boots.
Durability of plastic snap closures (I've had similar closures break on other packs).
Water resistance of outer cover (there's a zippered compartment across the top; nothing a piece of plastic coudln't handle.

Answer The tuck-away system is located at the bottom of the bag on the outer-side. The mesh is stored by tucking it away in a zipper compartment. To use it you simply take out the mesh which then pulls up and attaches to two rings on the back of the bag to safely hold your helmet. Please see recent pictures added to this item.
