I use these gloves for biking and just walking around town in Portland, OR. They're great; they fit really nicely, are stylish and warm enough for this area. The one draw back is that if things get really wet, the palms are not waterproof (The backs are moderately water resistant), so if the thing you're holding onto (handle bar grips, ski pole grips) is wet, the water will come through the palms.

These aren't as warm as I'd hoped, but they do well enough. For pet owners beware, they collect pet hair very easily. Not as manuverable as my last pair, which I could use with my Nikon to take pictures. Still, I'm glad I've got them for walks and hiking.
