“I wanted to be able to take care of minor tuning needs instead of forking over money to have it done at the ski shops. The vices are fine. There is a little bit of sliding around on the rubber pads when you get out towards the tips of the skis if you're not careful (when you have the skis base up). When the skis are sidewall up, the vices are perfect. This kit is a great all around beginner kit, but you will want to make some more investments down the road, such as better files and file guides. I was a little bummed it didn't come with brake retainers, but I knew that ahead of time. It did a simple tune up, and that's exactly what I need. Bottom line, it's exactly what I expected, and it does the job.”
