“You don't need a vise to open 110mm. All you need to do is to lay the ski flat, bases up and use the retaining piece included to attach securely for structure work, base edging and waxing. The other reviewers are clueless to how this vise works. Overall, it is a solid beginner kit. For the price that Sierra Trading Post is offering the kit for, it is a true value. A decent, not great vice, a good iron and the throw away tools included will get you started. Before you run away from this kit, listen to someone that has been tuning his own skis for 30 years. Get some better tools and you'll be good to go.”
