Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

solid shorts for the money, but wouldnt spend retail on them--seem a bit more purple than blue to me, and the padding is fairly minimal---I'll cut out the liner and use my normal cycling shorts underneath, which is fine--so they're ok for what I paid and should serve their purpose.
