    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    Normally I would expect a 12wt to be at least 10ft long for distance and accurate casting but I found this rod to be strong, light weight and very easy to cast. It is a good rod for large Gulf Coast and Keys fishing (e.g. Tarpon, Jacks, Bull Reds,etc.).A very nice looking and well built rod. A great buy.
