Accurate Casting, Durable, Easy To Transport, Good Tip Action
    Best Uses:
    Fly Fishing, River Fishing
    Describe Yourself:

    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a great rod and good for beginners given the easy action and casting distance with low effort. I first borrowed this rod from a guide in Montana and really liked it. The extra tip is a bonus and handy on remote trips (haven't had to use it though!) Very good value, casts like a $600 rod. I saw them on sale at Sierra Trading and bought a 5wt and 7wt.

This is a nice rod at a great price. The easy action is a great confidence builder for novice casters. The extra tip is a bonus. I would recommend this rod to a friend and maybe even buy another one in a different weight.

I bought this rod for wilderness backpacking and the two tips are really nice because it's not uncommon to break a tip in the backcountry. The rod is medium not fast and the tip is not the most sensitive but it loads well and with a relaxed casting style it casts nice.It does not have the traditional snake guides and the finish is nice.People at targus are super.A good value rod.

This was a great value and I am very happy with the quality. This rod was purchased for hiking into mountain lakes, and the 4 piece design makes packing a breeze. I have been flyfishing for 8 years and I will look for another Targus in a 3 weight. This rod is very lightweight and casts well. Moreover, it comes with an extra tip section in case breakage occurs. Overall, I am happy with the price and performance.
