    Got a great deal on this rod and am impressed. Going to be used for going after Alaska Kings this summer. Having a spare tip almost makes it a rod and a half! Certainly lighter in hand than I had anticipated which is important when slinging sinktips and heavy flies all day. Fairly stiff rod, which i like.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I have a GB 5 wt. that I love but this 10 wt.I had to send back because I couldn't get any large arbor reel I own to fit in the reel seat.A small arbor reel fit fine but not many people are going to put a small arbor reel on a 10 wt.Other than that I liked the rod.

    I was really surprised when I took the rod out for the first time and was punching out casts over 75' with little effort.I've owned a few high-end rods and this rod is comparable if not better than many I've used.I would definitely recommend it for all those pike fisherman looking for the perfect rod !
