“Bought the rod last fall as a cheap backup, and finally got to try it out this weekend on a NC trophy stream (Davidson River). This rod is great - feels a lot like a Sage in that it is very light, fast action but sensitive tip. Soft enough to play the small mountain trout well, but enough back bone to handle the 20 inchers on the Davidson. I like the high tech finish and reel seat, and with the extra tip, this rod is a bargain. I own/have owned Sage, T&T, Scott, & Winston rods - this one is as good or better than any (except the Winstons). I am buying another 4 wt for my son.”
