Get the boots "zeroed in" by a good slope-side tech. A crayon or grease pencil is excellent for marking issue points while out on your first trial(s). You'll probably trade up your skis before you trade up these boots, once they're customized right.

I would describe this boot as medium volume fit. If you have a low volume foot/ankle, this is not the boot for you. Also seems this boot runs a little larger than normal so order at least 1/2 size down.

These boots offer the highest instep of any boot on the market. They are very easy to put on and are one of the most comfortable DH boot I have ever owned.

Difficult entering the boot but once in, the boot feels as close to a street shoe as high-end ski boot will feel.

Great looking boot, a little tough at the beginning to wiggle foot in, but once in fits great. A lot of adjustability. Very happy. Great price[...]

Tecnica has a name of a good quality ski boots designer. This one is a real great ski boot with many different possibilities of fittings.

Bought a pair late last spring at a considerably higher price from another vendor. Was surprised to find that the fitter got me into 28.5 instead of the 29.5's I was replacing (I usually wear 12-13 cuz my feets are on the wide side). Amazingly, the smaller boots fit fine, and are toasty warm with just a skinny liner sock. Given the price break offered by STP, I 'm trying to decide whether I should pick up another pair to stash in the closet... The manual that comes with them is useless - cartoons without words?!? Yeah right! I highly recommend taking these to a practiced fitter, as there are at least a half-dozen options for tweaking the sizing and stiffness. Better to get it done right by someone with practice than to suffer a poor fit.
