I bought these for work, because I need waterproof shoes. After just a few wearings, the metal cleats that secure the laces broke off (one on each shoe). They also felt too wide and kind of sloppy. They're definately waterproof. I wore these for work so I can't send them back. I'll have to figure out some way to fix them or else just toss them out.

I bought these to go backpacking. My feet stayed dry even with a few slips into shallow streams and some rain. They offered great support and traction.

I was looking for boots that I could wear all year in Oregon, where it rains buckets in the winter and spring. These are supportive, keep my feet dry and are lightweight. I've only worn them a few hours so far, but no indication of any trouble, like hot spots. Nice looking boots too.
