Yeah you hear it straight from the horses mouth, the squeaky boots squeak no more! After wearing these boot about a month to clean snow out of the driveway, the squeak went away. I have no problems now with these boots, except they needed to have a better insole. That was an easy fix. These boots keep my feet dry and they are nice looking. So, if you do buy them, give them a little extra time to get broke in.

Yes, the reviewer who said the boots squeaked was soohhhh correct. Terrible, terrible. There was, unfortunately, nothing about them - style, class, uniqueness - that made up for the squeaking. I love Technica boots and have several. These were super comfortable but that was not enough to sway me to keep them. Sorry, Technica.

I like the way these boots look but forget about trying to sneak up on a rabbit! These are the squeakiest boots I ever owned! They are squeakier than a flight of stairs in a haunted house! Other than that, they fit well but only because i bought a half size too big, otherwise they would have been too narrow. I bought the black and the brown and they are great for slushy and wet weather. They are not the warmest boots I own, but I don't stay outside too long with them. They keep my foot dry which is a good exchange for the SQUEAKY suckers! Maybe, instead of fake fur, they are really made from mouse fur and he doth protest too much!

Bought both this style and similar pull on style. This one is definitely better as you can cinch up the shoe to support the ankle and foot better with the ties laces. However they are similar in design and color and problems. They don't cushion or support the foot well. The worst problem is right out of box they buckle right across the instep..this stretch in the leather or whatever it is...looks like it could get worse with use. The sole of the boot bends to easily there...shoe soles need to be stiffer to support feet properly and these don't have inner cushion and with the soft bendable soles it's not a good boot overall. I love the color and love the design and having the discussion with self to return either or both pairs right now. Vanity or practical one's got to win. The boots came just when we were leaving on a week bike trip so now back and time to decide.
