Tecnica Jumbo Rolling Duffel Bag - 31", Upright

Took a 4 week trip to China. Needed large suitcase to hold biking and hiking gear as well as clothing to cover tropical and (at one point) freezing temperatures. This seemed to be a good choice & it did hold all my gear. Zipper pulls were solid and did not have anyway to lock. (Bought many small electrical zip ties that I snipped open each night). Then the zipper separated on the first night in China! Took a train to the airport. When I got off the feet that were to keep it from tipping over broke off. I hadn't even checked it through yet. So it could not stand up on its own.

Lots of space and easy to pack.

not robust construction

I was disappointed in the quality of the bag. Obviously the manufacturer sold you a defective product and you failed to inspect it before you sold it.

Holds everything in my previous bag...and more!

Used these bags for a trip to Alaska to carry all the gear. Perfect size and the compartments were perfect for boots and the size was just right to be under the size requirements for an oversized bag by the airlines. [...]

I purchased this to be used for my trip to Africa in August. Will give a better review once I see how the bag performs on an extended foreign trip. Overall, the bag looks of good quality, ample room for clothing and supplies, etc.

Good capacity, and ski boot storage compartment. One large main storage compartment could use more separate sub compartments. Only used gently for one trip by car. Survival after airline baggage handlers have a crack at it will tell more about durability. Seems like good quality for this price point.

Meets Delta Airlines checked baggage requirements. (Cannot exceed 62", totalling length, height, and width) Don't know about other airlines, but they're all setting new tougher requirements I ran into this on a recent trip with a large rolling duffle that exceeded that total. People wanted to charge $100 for "oversized" bag.Talked them out of it, but not going through that again!

This will be used primarily for extended trips. As I often stay a long way from where I park, the wheels will be useful. this bag has excellent quality fabric and wheels, is large, easy to load, with ways to break the compartments up.
