Teri Jon Silk Chiffon Dress - Short Sleeve (For Women)

I am looking for a dress to wear to a wedding (my nightmare outfit!) Cute silouette in the picture, but I was worried about it on my body - I'm a 41 yo 5'4" athletic build (thicker legs & body) and this was not flattering. If you're long and lanky, this would be great. It just made me look chunkier.The silk chiffon snags/runs easily [...]. Together with the ill fit, I decided to send it back.

This dress is perfect! It fits perfectly. It's very flattering. It's really comfortable. The only challenge is keeping it unwrinkled if I travel with it. I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it. I'm planning to wear it at a formal wedding.

I wore this dress for my outdoor, summer, afternoon wedding in So. California. It was perfect for the occasion and I received many compliments. I agree with another reviewer that the top of the dress is VERY light pink, lighter than in the picture, but the sash and lower sections are very rich in color. It moves well and still looked great after a long day of sitting and standing. Very flattering.

It's a lovely dress and, as noted, the lining is a separate silk slip dress, dyed the same way as the overdress. The lining closes with a zipper in back. Button loops on the overdress might be hard for someone with arthritis to handle. The belt is just a ribbon, which I guess is fine, but for the original price I would have expected something a little nicer. But the dress is well worth the discounted price, and I am looking forward to blowing my boyfriend's mind when I wear it to his big Xmas party in a few weeks. (It's a summer-weight dress, but it's going to be a warm party.)
